On the occasion of United Nations Day 2025, which marks the 80th anniversary of the Organization\u2019s founding, Italy renews its commitment to effective multilateralism, based on the promotion of peace, the protection of human rights, and sustainable development.<\/p>\n
\u201cUN Day\u201d is celebrated every year on October 24, the date on which, in 1945, the Charter of the United Nations entered into force, officially marking the birth of the Organization. Eighty years later, its principles of peace, justice, human dignity, equality, and social progress retain their full strength and still serve today as the compass of Italy\u2019s foreign policy.<\/p>\n
Our country, which this year also celebrates the 70th anniversary of its accession to the UN (December 14, 1955), supported the 80th anniversary celebrations in Rome (FAO, October 16), where President Mattarella and FAO Director Qu Dongyu inaugurated the Museum and Network for Food and Agriculture \u2013 MuNe, financed by Italian Cooperation, and in New York at the UN Headquarters, where Italy is a partner of the exhibition \u201cUnited in Life, United in the Future,\u201d inaugurated on October 21 by Secretary\u2011General Antonio Guterres.<\/p>\n
