Gambero Rosso, with the support of the Embassy of Italy in Abuja and in collaboration with the Consulate General and the ICE Office in Lagos, organized yesterday, January 27, the first Gambero Rosso roadshow in the world in 2026, featuring the finest Italian wineries. A first in many respects: the first Gambero Rosso tour in West Africa, the first tour in Nigeria, taking place just after the recognition of Italian cuisine as a shared intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO. This recognition highlights the growing importance of the Nigerian wine market on the international scene and the commercial opportunities available for Italian wine companies in the country. The Chianti Consortium and 30 producers from various Italian regions will be present. Tastings, masterclasses, business meetings and awards are the main activities of the roadshow.
