The Embassy of Italy in Abuja is a Diplomatic Mission active since 2003 in the current capital of Nigeria, following the transfer from Lagos, the previous Federal Capital of Nigeria.
Since May 2005 the offices of the Embassy have been permanently established at the EU Complex, which is owned and managed by the Delegation of the European Union in Nigeria.
The Embassy employs personnel sent by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as personnel locally employed.
The Consular Office is open to the public and is competent only for the States of F.C.T. – Kaduna – Kano – Niger – Plateau – Katsina.
